WHO

Who We Are

Logos Wilderness Therapy was founded in 2018 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is based out of Denver, Colorado. We serve survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation 18 years and older from around the country.

We provide an entirely new “safe house” model that reduces re-traumatization of survivors by providing the necessary support and freedom of space to establish solid foundations for healing. By combining the well documented benefits of wilderness, along with trauma-focused therapeutic approaches, survivors are able to begin or continue the long and hard road of healing and reclaim their physical, spiritual, and emotional freedom.

WHY

Why we are Moved

Freedom that is misunderstood and misrepresented is not freedom. People everywhere remain captive to trauma, to shame, and to false beliefs that prevent the fullness of freedom. This often-invisible captivity keeps broken people broken and fuels generational pain and trauma.

We believe that holistic healing (emotional, spiritual, physical) is possible for all people and that this is the key to seeing the fullness of freedom reimagined, restored, and reclaimed in our world. Logos is bringing this freedom to life in our work with survivors of sex trafficking.

What

What We Do

Logos’ has broken into unexplored and innovative terrain by creating wilderness therapy programs specifically for survivors of sex trafficking. Through the context of wilderness, these individuals continue their journey of healing within a community of survivors and are guided by both wilderness and mental health professionals. By combining the benefits of adventure and experiential therapy with multiple evidenced-based individual and group therapy modalities, participants are empowered to reclaim a sense of agency and create new visions of what their future can be.

How

How we will be Sustainable and Create Lasting Impact

Logos Wilderness Therapy believes strongly in the power of collaboration followed by action. We are to accomplish our purpose through building partnerships across industries, sitting down at the table with experts and survivors, investing in research, encouraging innovation, educating communities, and maintaining an organizational framework that is rooted in purpose and sustainability.
